Lately you've been probably
wondering why there seems to be some "Buckeye Love" going on over here
at Twobobs. Well this week is the week that we finally announce the news that
we've been sitting on over here for quite some time.
Yep, that's right we got a T-2C Buckeye kit
coming in 1/48th scale! Freakin' awesome!!
We've been working in conjunction with MPM in the Czech Republic and the IPMS
club in Columbus, OH to pull this together and we'll be debuting this kit at the
2009 IPMS National Convention in August. You can pre-order your kit now to be
sure you get yours before they're all gone. The text below is directly from our
website.
"We are now making available for pre-order, two kits of this very important
aircraft. Both of these kits will debut at the 2009 IPMS National Convention in
Columbus, OH, the birthplace of the Buckeye!
US Sales of this kit will be handled exclusively here at Twobobs. The kit will
only be available to US consumers through our website. Overseas consumers will
be able to secure the kit through only two overseas distributors, Hannants in
the UK and in Japan through various hobby shops that are supplied by Beaver
Corporation.
Kits will be shipped to US, pre-order customers after the convention (early
September 2009). Shipping will be by USPS Priority Mail and we will have to
charge for shipping on this product only.
When placing preorders for this kit, it is important to note:
ORDER THIS ITEM AS A STAND ALONE ITEM, DO NOT ORDER IT IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER
ITEMS FROM THE WEBSITE! COMPLETELY CHECK OUT AND COMPLETE YOUR ORDER AND DO NOT
PLACE OTHER ITEMS ONTO YOUR ORDER WITH YOUR KIT ORDER.
YOUR CARD WILL BE CHARGED AND YOUR KIT ORDER WILL BE FILED AWAY AND FILLED UPON
KIT RELEASE.
TBK 48-001 is limited to 500 ea and this is a special boxing for the 2009 IPMS
National Convention. Only 250 kits will be available for pre-order purchase
through the website for US customers only. The balance of 250 kits will be made
available at the IPMS National Convention. This kit features special markings
for the 75th Anniversary of Naval Aviation.
TBK 48-002 is also limited to an initial boxing of 500 kits. This entire,
initial run is available for pre-order through our website to US customers only.
There will be an additional production run after the IPMS National Convention
and these kits will be made available to the rest of the world through our
distributors.
Twobobs along with Twomikes will be releasing decal and resin accessories for
this kit. These items will not be available for pre-order and will debut at the
2009 IPMS National Convention."
