This is the plane from 410
Cougar Squadron that was specially painted up to mark the 75th Anniversary of
the founding of the Royal Canadian Air Force. On the real plane, the designer and painter of
this paint scheme was Greg Brown and his name was painted in tiny letters on the
side of the fuselage behind the wing. His name is readable on the 1/48
decal sheet. Originally Greg had designed a large diamond for the rudders,
but his CO cancelled that design, so Greg went back the computer drawing board
and came up with this design. The Tartan is the official tartan of the
R.C.A.F.
The quality of this decal sheet
is flawless and it comes in 1/72 and 1/48
scales.
