Well.....most of us were
either thinking about buying the big 1/32 Academy F-18.....or we've
bought at least one....unless you're Dave Roof....then you've probably
got a closet full of the 1/32 F-18's.
This sheet features two
aircraft from VFA-94 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Both jets
have mission markings from this conflict.
The first aircraft is #
164048 and is the CAG bird from this squadron and features 20 mission
markings. The paint scheme on this one is low viz Grey with bright
red highlights. These red highlights include the tops of the
vertical stabilizers and other marking all over the plane. The F-18
is famous for it's thirst of fuel and underwing fuel tanks are very
common for the F-18.
This first F-18 on this
sheet has red artwork on the vertical stabs as well as the same artwork
on the underwing tanks. There is also a black star with 2 playing
dice inside the star on both sides of the fuselage. Jet intake
warnings and plane numbers by the nose are done in red.
The second aircraft is #
164027 and this is the CO bird from this squadron and also features 20
mission markings.
