What You Get:
Sixteen pieces of very nicely
cast resin, which will replace the kit's cockpit tub, seat, turtledeck,
instrument panel, rudder pedals, stick, sidewalls, and canopy framing. The
parts are cast in the usual tan resin that we normally see from other CAM
products, and the castings are of high quality. My sample kit did not
contain any broken pieces, and all cast parts are bubble free. In
particular, I was impressed with the level of detail on the instrument panel, as
well as the belt detail on the seat. There is a small amount of flash to
remove from some of the smaller parts, and the usual procedures for removing
resin parts from their sprues will have to be followed carefully on some of the
more delicate parts. Other than that, there are no surprises - each part
is cleanly cast, and well detailed, in the high level of quality that we have
come to expect from CAM.
Conclusion:
If you're looking to build a 1/32
Sabre, this is a very worthwhile set to complete your kit. The parts
included in this set will really go a long way to dress up your 1/32 F-86
cockpit, and are a great improvement over the kit parts. My sincere thanks
once again goes to Armagan Kayra of Custom
Aeronautical Miniatures for providing the review sample, and I encourage you
to check out the CAM website to view their excellent line of decals and resin
detail parts.
