As the
F-14 is slowly retired from service the F-18F will assume the role
formerly held by the F-14. Some squadrons have already
transitioned to the F-18E's and F's. This decal sheet features enough
markings for three
aircraft from this former F-14 squadron from Lemoore NAS. CAG,
CO and a standard dirty bird are included.
This decal sheet includes two
complete sets of stencil data with three different optional markings
combinations.
The
first plane is F/A-18F #165876 and is a CAG bird off the USS Nimitz with
VFA-41 "Black Aces". this plane is lo-viz gray with red
tips on the vertical stabs. There is also red accents on much of
the larger black lettering on this plane. There are also two large
black,
white and red Ace of Spades playing cards on the outside vertical stabs.
The second plane is
almost identical to the first plane except for having different pilots
names and numbers for the plane.
The third plane is a
muted lo-viz example of the first two planes.
