Well, like the title says this Huey belongs to the movie "We were soldiers". I used those Hueys in the film as standard.  I've no "real" references whether this UH-1D flew in 'Nam.

The 1st Air Cav sign is a home made decal, the squares on the doors are hand painted. On the right side they aren't orthogonal, but if they had made those squares they weren't perfect too.

I used Eduardo photo-etched parts and the doorgun mounts are scratch build.  

I think pictures say a lot more than words...

The nose number is fictional. I like that model alot, because it's just the normal and simple transport version.  Oh, I see the pilot's right pedal broke off.... hmmm, can't change... anyhow it's nice, isn't it ?! :-)
