I did not build this
kit out of the box: for the cockpit I used a ARIES resin-mod kit, the armament was taken from two Academy MiG-21`s, I cut the flaps to show them in
working position and the painting was taken from a reference pictures which
I found in the net (Photo 09).
It took a long time
to find a real good camouflage scheme....in fact I bought this kit about 3 years
ago. I think the result is quite okay.

Now I`m working on a MiG-19S (HPM)
also in 1/48, and with this model my 1/48-MiG-collection is nearly finished.
There are only two planes to add: MiG-9 (no kit existing) and the MiG 1.44
(also no kit existing).
