1/48 Hasegawa F4U-7 Corsair "12F"

These are pictures of a F4U-7 using the Hasegawa kit dedicated to the French navy Corsair. The kit is alright, cockpit could be improved by scratch-build or accessories.

Decals could be much better. I also don't understand why Hasegawa didn't add any stencil (even for the propeller) on the decal sheet.

Those decals, and stencils, on this particular model are from ADECO.

Paint is overall Tamiya sea blue (XF-17). I used pastel I spread on every panel, then applied a layer of Tamiya clear (TS-13), but you cannot really see it on the pictures (which are not a good quality by the way, I will try to do better next time, and work on a day light too ;-).

The Corsair 18F12 finish is life is the deep sea. The pilot was unhurt. You may enjoy my website dedicated to this partiular warbird : http://www.f4u-corsair.net where you will find numerous pictures and history.

Hope you will enjoy and happy modeling !
