British Fleet Air Arm Avenger MK1 

This is my fleet air arm avenger aboard the HMS Queen on patrol in the North Atlantic patrolling the allied convoy routes.  I did not want to finish it in the usual USN 3 tone color scheme and had to decide between the RAF OD Dark sea grey over sky or the NZ 3 tone again.  I found this cammo scheme unusual from Xtradecals yanks in roundels range and went for it.

The model has been reviewed enough and the build was flawless.  Colors used where Gunze acrylics OD and dark sea grey over white and night “75% black 25% midnight blue” over the cowling, the front section of the cockpit being Humbrol bronze green 75.  Eduard PE zoom was applied as well.  I applied a very subtle heavily diluted grey acrylic artist paint to the panel lines only.  All clear parts where glued with white glue.
