1/48 Hasegawa EA-18G Growler "Navy Centennial"

Here a very specially painted EA-18G Growler with this splendid scheme of the “Air Group 85” in 1944. Painted to recognise and to celebrate the 100 years of U.S NAVY!

The model is from Hasegawa (HSG 07252) in 1/48, an already well known kit because there is very little modification between that Super Hornet and Growler.

All this goes up very well, attention cepandant has well to stop the openings of the gun, and has to modify engraving somewhat.

The two colors blue result from mixture perso, it still does not exist any reference for this camouflage.

The “engine covers” were made by myself thick Scotch tape for the exhausts and self-adhesive plastic for the intakes.

I added 2 resin seats, of the photodécoupe Eduard for the cockpit, and the plane and to pose on a superb base made from wood and covered with the logo of the centenary of Navy which has me was to manufacture by a fantastic friend, Justin Maloof (www.3wiredesign.com)
