After 7 years, I decided to build
plastic model again. Although I would like to build after 1950's era
aircraft and Turkish Air Force's especially, I completed 1/48 Hasegawa Spitfire
MKIXc with Eduard zoom set to achieve good results for a good gift for
my good fellow.

I replaced the kit
instrument panel with the zoom set from Eduard photo etch. The kit was
finished out of the box as a MK IXc version which has
4-bladed propeller and spinner assembly and painted completely in Humbrol
paints by airbrush. Then I brushed with Humbrol gloss varnish. During
the marking I lost one of the big code "G" letter and
darkblue+red roundels on top of the wings. Instead of them, used
"D" letter and roundels with yellow ring. The was model gloss
varnished again. Left it to cure 24 hours, I brushed matt varnish on
model and assembled all the bombs, wheels and canopy parts.
So I am happy with the result. I
strongly recommend this kit to modelers with minor aftermarket products.

Murat Yağan
