Here is another part of my RCAF/CAF collection. Photo above is the Hasegawa kit representing the first Cf-104 to arrive in Europe, Oct 1962 while I was based at Zweibrucken , Germany.
The red Cf-104 is the same kit with Leading Edge Decals and the dreaded Black Box resin cockpit.
Ted Bain's black Checkerbird is the Hasegawa kit with Leading Edge Decals and some scratch built stuff in the cockpit..Model Master gloss black paint......also a presentation model. Beside it is the Red Knight. Below is the 1/72 scale CF104D by Hasegawa. Decals were from the spares box and this model includes some scratchbuilt stuff inside. This is one of the aircraft that I flew with our base maintenance test pilot at Zweibrucken. Bob Ayres, living up in Salmon Arm now, let me fly with him on many occasions in the Two Holer and it was one mighty big thrill.. Thanks Bob.
