Lt. Hans Weik Memmingen, July 1944
Lacking freehand skills, I cut a mottle pattern out of a
manila folder (lower left), and used Elmer's Tack to hold it off the surface a
bit. Came out well for a first try.
I used a 0.3 drafting pencil for the panel lines.

I painted the fuselage band and masked it. Looks better than
a decal, especially being white. A sprue aerial was added after these pics were
taken.
Brass rod was used for the cannon. Outboard cannon are
deleted to save weight on this example. Pics were taken using a Minolta X-370
and a Vivitar 28-80 macro lens.
EagleCals are awesome! Went down beautifully, and include
every little stencil. The kit decals must be thrown away; they're awful.
