The F-4U5N Corsair were the night fighter version. After the Pacific war, the Corsairs seemed to be forgotten, but they came back to fight in the Korean War and as a night fighter it had the radar on the wing.
On my Corsair I decided to fold the wing. First of all I had to cut the wing piece a part and then scratchbuilt the wing fold interior. I made the shape of the wing on the thin piece of plastic and then glued this to the stub of the cut wing before attaching the piece of wing. After it had dried I sanded all that was left sticking out from the pieces of plastic. After that I just had to add some small details. I dropped the flaps down, which wasn’t hard. The cockpit had a lot of detail added to it, I also decided to add some detail to the back landing gear because it had no detail inside. The model was painted with Tamiya Royal Blue Color.

The finished model looks good to
me it was an easy kit to build if it would be out of the box, but if you had
decided to detail it you will have to add some extra work. If you put the flaps
down wing will have some fit problems.
